Sugababes' Amelle Berrabah arrested on suspicion of drink driving after 'row' with boyfriend

Sugababe Amelle Berrabah is due to appear in court on Friday on drink drive charges after allegedly having a furious bust-up with her boyfriend.
The star, 26, who was admitted to rehab last year to be treated for 'severe nervous exhaustion', was behind the wheel of her £300,000 Mercedes when she was pulled over by officers in Camden Street, north London, at 5.23am on Thursday.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: 'Amelle Berrabah, 26, will appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on October 8 charged with driving with excess alcohol.'

A neighbour is reported as saying: 'Amelle was beating the door, going absolutely mental. You could hear her screaming and Tom saying, 'For f**** sake calm down.'
However, Amelle took to her Twitter page to put across her side of the story.
She tweeted: 'I cant believe what's being said!I'm so sad this has happened to me.
'I got up to do my normal 6am jog - you guys know this as I twitter about it all the time! I'd been out the night before for drinks with friends and got stopped on my way to meet my personal trainer and it was obviously still In my system.
'I'm sooo angry with myself I felt fine and had a coffee. Why do papers always write horrid stuff on me I feel like I'm going rock bottom again.'
Berrabah is no stranger to controversy.
Last year, she went 'missing' for days and missed a string of public appearances with the band.
When her family were unable to contact her for a week, they called police, fearing she had been abducted from her home town of Aldershot.
Officers from Hampshire Police filed a missing persons report to the Met, but she was found at her north London home before a kidnap unit was alerted.
Shortly afterwards, band founder Keisha Buchanan was booted out of the line-up and replaced by former Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen. Amelle herself replaced original member Mutya Buena.
In 2008 she was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a car in Aldershot, but no charges were brought.
And in 2007 she was arrested over allegations she assaulted an 18-year-old girl at a bar in Guildford, spending a night in the cells before being freed.
.Berrabah has been busy recently with fellow Sugababes Heidi Range and Jade recording the follow-up to the Sugababes most recent EP, Sweet 7.

Speaking about the new album, which is due for release later this year, Amelle said: 'We’re keeping to our Sugababes sound but we’re also hoping to try new things too.'
The trio also launched their own perfumes yesterday. The three fragrances are called Tempt, Tease and Touch.
Amelle said: 'We were really hands on with the development of these three scents.'
The Sugababes have bagged six number one singles, 18 top-ten hits and undergone several line-up changes since forming in 1998.
